About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certificate III in Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, nationally recognised training and assessment to learners undertaking the Certificate III in Civil Construction qualification. You will equip students with the practical skills and industry knowledge required to work safely and effectively in the civil construction sector.
Training may be delivered in classrooms, simulated work environments, workplaces, or on client sites.
Key Responsibilities - Deliver engaging, competency-based training and assessment in accordance with the relevant training package and RTO requirements.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessment resources.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and workplace-based assessments.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate training, assessment, and student records.
- Ensure compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and organisational policies.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure training activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.
Essential Requirements - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Relevant vocational qualification in Civil Construction, or a related field, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
- Demonstrated recent industry experience in civil construction.
- Sound knowledge of competency-based training and assessment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Current driver’s licence. Desirable - Experience delivering Certificate III in Civil Construction qualifications within the Australian VET sector.
- Current industry tickets or licences such as:
- Construction Induction (White Card) - Traffic Management - Plant and Machinery Tickets - Excavator, Loader, Roller, or Skid Steer competencies - First Aid and CPR - Experience delivering workplace-based or site-based training.
- Knowledge of civil construction standards, safety requirements, and quality systems.
