Camp Glenrock is located in the heart of Newcastle, not far from the CBD and just around the corner from Merewether and Charlestown.
Responsibilities & Duties
General Cleaning
- Maintain an overall high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of the facility.
- General cleaning of Buildings, Halls, Dining and Kitchen areas.
- Adhere to the facility cleaning checklists.
- Liaise with cleaning suppliers to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained.
- Clean toilets as required.
Housekeeping & Turnover
- Manage linen and laundry requirements, including liaising with linen cleaning supplier and organising pickups and drop offs in a timely manner for bookings.
- Prepare and clean rooms to the highest quality and efficiency.
- Ensure security and privacy of guests, always demonstrating integrity and diligence.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and proactively report of any hazards, faulty or damaged equipment to senior staff/Centre Manager.
- Provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
- Demonstrate willingness to be available for additional duties as required.
Key Capabilities & Requirements
Qualification, Training & Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning and or housekeeping.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills Strong time management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Highly organised.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, autonomously and with limited supervision.
- An ethical approach to work, self-motivated and enjoys achieving results.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in Australia
- Current National Police Check or ability to get one
- Current Working with Children Check or ability to get one
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Drivers Licence and own transport
