Permanent Part Time - Moura The Opportunity Council has an opportunity for a highly motivated cleaner to join our team, to participate in daily cleaning activities of the Moura Museum and Library building and amenities as required.

Banana Shire is situated in Central Queensland, Australia located 120 km west of the growing industrial city and port of Gladstone - and an easy drive to the city of Rockhampton.

Our population is approximately 15,000 people spread over 28,577 square kilometres. Major industries in the area include Coal Mining, Power Generation, Beef Production, dryland cropping and irrigation such as lucerne and cotton.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader - Cleaners, you will play an important role in ensuring Council facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities include

- Cleaning Council facilities, offices and amenities.
- Safely using and storing cleaning chemicals.
- Monitoring and maintaining cleaning supplies.
- Reporting maintenance issues and damaged fixtures.
- Operating cleaning equipment and maintaining allocated vehicles.
- Completing daily work records and timesheets.
- Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in team meetings, training and workplace safety activities.

About You Ideally,



our successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and the safe use of commercial cleaning products or willingness to learn
- Queensland Construction White Card
- Queensland 'C' Class Driver's Licence
- Queensland Working with Children Check.
- Sound level of oral and written communication skills

Additional Information This role involves physical work and requires a reasonable level of fitness to undertake manual cleaning and labouring duties. Weekend and after-hours work may be required from time to time.
