Next Level Accountants is a boutique accounting practice specialising in trades and construction businesses across Australia. We help owners stay fully compliant while receiving practical tax planning support.
We’re looking for an experienced Client Advisor to join our small, high-performing team of 4, supported by 2 offshore staff. This is a hybrid role based in Robina, QLD.
What you’ll do
- Manage your own portfolio of trades, construction and project-based SME clients
- Advise clients on tax matters including Division 7A, FBT, GST, income tax and capital gains tax
- Deliver tax planning advice
- Handle lodgements and compliance — prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Lead regular client meetings (virtual and occasional in-person) and build long-term trusted relationships
- Collaborate closely with the onshore team of 4 and work effectively with our 2 offshore support staff
- Mentor and review work of junior team members where required
- Contribute to refining our processes and service offering as the firm scales
What we’re looking for
- CA, CPA or CTA qualified (or close to completion)
- 5+ years’ experience in public practice tax and accounting (senior-level experience preferred)
- Solid experience in tax planning, lodgements and compliance
- Proven ability to advise clients on Division 7A, FBT, GST, income tax and capital gains tax
- Exposure to small business CGT concessions highly regarded
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate clearly with business owners
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax
- Excellent communication skills — clear, commercial and confident with tradies
- Comfortable working in a small team environment with offshore support
- Experience with trades/construction or project-based businesses is highly regarded
- Comfortable with cloud systems (Xero and modern practice management tools)
