The Role An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern Recent South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Actively engage in professional development of self and support the development of others, including students
Provide, maintain and role model advanced person-focused, evidence-based care
Engage with consumers to support shared decision making relevant to their care and health literacy within scope of role
Triage patient referrals and presentations in collaboration with the Clinic Nurse Consultant, ensuring urgent cases are prioritised and reviewed in a timely manner.
About you To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
