About the Role
You'll be responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture and repair precision engineering components while working alongside experienced machinists in a busy workshop environment. This role offers genuine opportunities to progress into machine setup and programming.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to manufacture engineering components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
- Complete quality inspections and production documentation
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Work with the workshop team to achieve production targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous CNC machine operating experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn CNC setup and programming
- Experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls
Desirable
- Trade Qualification in Engineering, Fitting & Machining or similar
- Conventional machining experience
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Reliable and team-focused approach
