Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial debt recovery files from initial contact through to resolution.
- Contact businesses via phone and email to negotiate payment of overdue accounts.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements while maximising recovery outcomes.
- Investigate account disputes and work with clients to resolve outstanding matters efficiently.
- Maintain accurate file notes and correspondence in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with clients to provide regular updates on collection activity and account progress.
- Meet individual recovery targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
About You To be successful, you will bring:
- Previous experience in commercial collections, mercantile services, debt recovery, credit control or accounts receivable.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Confidence handling difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to achieve collection and recovery targets.
