Commercial Accountant - Fixed Term | North Sydney

We're seeking a proactive and commercially focused Commercial Accountant to provide financial and commercial support across a diverse healthcare portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Business Partner, you'll play a key role in reporting, analysis, contract management, forecasting, and business performance improvement while partnering closely with operational leaders.

Role Responsibilities | What does my day look like?

- Deliver month-end reporting, P&L; analysis, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and distribute management reports, highlighting key financial insights.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Manage invoicing, payment follow-up and commercial contract administration.
- Conduct contract reviews, price escalations and variation analysis.
- Assist with retention modelling, business cases and financial modelling




- Drive process improvement and promote best practice across commercial activities.

Role Experience | What Do I need to Succeed?

- Degree qualified and/or studying towards CA or CPA.
- Previous management accounting experience within a corporate environment.
- Exposure to hospitality, food service or healthcare industry ideal.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capability.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI skills.
- Sound commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP and VBA/Macros will be highly regarded.
