Exciting opportunity for experienced Commercial Divers and Dive Supervisors to join the expert team at Commercial Marine Group in Perth, WA. We are currently seeking commercial divers with experience in Marine Infrastructure Rehabiliation, including: Underwater welding, pile wrapping, anode installation, boat ramp renovation, concrete rehabilitation, scour protection and similar activities . This casual role will see you play a key part in the company's diving operations, utilising your specialist skills and expertise to deliver high-quality services to clients in the marine construction industry.
Divers
Divers should possess the following:
· ADAS Part 2 minimum
· Current First Aid & O2 Resus
· Diver medical (AS2299.1 compliant, within 12 months)
· Australian Working Rights
· Construction White Card
· Current driver’s licence
· Must have experience in wet welding
· MSIC/ FPA inducted or willing and able to obtain
· Can pass pre-employment D&A;
· Basic Rigging & Dogging
Dive Supervisors
Supervisors need to have a proven track record in managing dive teams on complex marine construction projects. Supervisors must have demonstrated experience in maintaining professional communication with Tier 1 clients, providing daily progress updates, and ensuring client expectations are met on site. The role requires the ability to represent the company in a professional manner during site meetings, toolbox talks, and inspections,
while also escalating issues promptly to project management and working collaboratively with the client to resolve challenges.
Candidates must be confident in managing project documentation, QA deliverables, and reports to ensure accurate and timely submission.
Dive Supervisors should possess the following:
· ADAS Dive Supervisor qualification
· Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in marine construction and diving operations
· Strong knowledge of AS2299.1 and commercial diving safety
· Coxswain G2
· Experience in wet welding scope
· MSIC/ FPA inducted or willing and able to obtain
What you'll be doing
- Safely and efficiently carrying out commercial diving activities to support construction projects
- Supervising and coordinating the work of diving teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Conducting pre-dive planning and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Maintaining detailed records of all diving activities and submitting required reports
- Providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced divers
- Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of diving services
