As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager – West Coast to join our Western Australia and South Australia leadership team based in Perth.

This is an exciting prospect for a commercially astute qualified who enjoys partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance, improve profitability and support strategic decision-making across a dynamic operational environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Commercial and Risk Manager, the Commercial Manager – West Coast is responsible for providing commercial leadership and financial insight across BOOM's Western Australia and South Australia operations.

Working closely with senior operational and executive leaders, you will play a key role in commercial strategy, major tender submissions, contract negotiations, pricing, capital investment decisions and business improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include

- Partnering with operational leadership to provide commercial advice, financial analysis and decision support.

- Leading the commercial workstream for major tenders, including pricing, financial modelling, commercial risk assessment and profitability analysis.





- Managing commercial negotiations, contract variations, rate reviews and ongoing contract performance.

- Developing commercial models and labour cost modelling to support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, pricing and business planning.

- Preparing capital expenditure business cases and evaluating investment opportunities.

- Supporting regional business planning and commercial performance improvement initiatives.

- Identifying opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting and operational efficiency.

- Coaching and supporting operational leaders to strengthen commercial capability across the business.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.

- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

- Demonstrated experience in a commercial, finance or business partnering role within an operational environment.

- Proven experience in tender pricing, commercial negotiations and contract management.

- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.





- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to support business decisions.

- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to influence and collaborate with operational leaders and executive stakeholders.

- Experience within industrial services, mining, construction, infrastructure, crane hire or asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded.
