Graduate Commodity Associate (Mandarin Speaker) – Coal Procurement |? Sydney, Australia | ? As part of their international expansion, they are looking for a Commodity Associate to join their Sydney-based team, supporting coal procurement from major Australian producers and helping grow the business across international markets. This is a outstanding opportunity for a commercially-minded, bilingual professional to work at the intersection of commodity trading, international logistics, and customer relationship management — engaging directly with some of the world's largest mining companies.

What you'll do: Support the sourcing and purchasing of coal from major Australian mining companies, including BHP, Anglo American, Glencore, and other leading producers

Expand domestic and international market business across various product lines

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships; arrange and conduct customer visits

Manage customer accounts and projects to meet performance and business targets

Monitor and analyze shipping/logistics markets and broader international trade conditions

Collect, organize,



and analyze market intelligence to support sourcing and business decisions

Identify and help develop new business lines and growth opportunities What we're looking for: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) — essential

Must be based in Sydney, Australia

You must currently hold, and be able to maintain, valid working rights in Australia — this position is unable to offer visa sponsorship now or in the future

Experience in commodity trading, procurement, or business development — ideally within coal, mining, steel, shipping, or international trade is a plus

Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills

Solid analytical skills, comfortable working with market data and reports

Understanding of international trade practices; shipping/logistics knowledge a plus

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, international trade, engineering, or mining-related disciplines)
