Role Description This part-time remote role combines compliance analysis and data governance responsibilities to support Macromill’s online education operations.

The Compliance

Analyst / Data Governance Manager will monitor and interpret relevant regulations, ensuring that training content, data handling practices, and internal processes align with legal and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include assessing regulatory risk, reviewing policies, performing periodic audits, and documenting controls related to data privacy, financial transactions, and course delivery. The role also involves developing and maintaining data governance frameworks, overseeing data quality and access controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement compliance and data management best practices.

The individual in this role will prepare concise reports, communicate findings and recommendations to leadership, and help continuously improve compliance and governance procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess robust Regulatory Compliance and Auditing skills to evaluate risk, review processes, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards.





Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, perform assessments, and support evidence-based decisions in compliance and governance activities.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to prepare reports, explain complex requirements clearly, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge to understand financial flows, reconcile compliance requirements, and support audits of financial-related processes.

Experience with data governance frameworks, data privacy principles (such as GDPR or similar regulations), and risk management methodologies is beneficial.

Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.

Prior experience in compliance, auditing, data governance, or a related role within education, technology, or online services is an advantage.
