Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Compliance & Assessment Officer to join their team.
Be part of a team who conduct assessments by evaluating matters referred for possible breaches of authorised legislation administered by Better Regulation for the protection of the public, business and communities of NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review material received on matters to identify any breach of relevant legislation and make recommendations for appropriate further action.
2. Review matters adhering to procedures and statutory framework, using required administrative processes and systems to meet specified timeframes.
3. Communicate effectively and provide timely expert advice and support to key internal and external stakeholders to achieve improved industry and regulatory outcomes
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation,
policy and procedure to demonstrate exemplary regulatory practice to the NSW Community
Selection Criteria:
1. Experience with the reviewing and applying of relevant legislation and intelligence data within a compliance based setting.
2. Ability to communicate effectively and provide timely expert advice and support to key internal and external stakeholders
3. Background/ Experience in Building legislation, Consumer Law and the Crimes Act highly regarded
4. Sound knowledge in drafting a range of written material for a wide audience including, requests for information, minutes, correspondence, briefings, communication notices and web content.
On offer is a 6 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
