About the role:
Lawmee is working with a well-respected ASX-listed mining company to secure an experienced Corporate Counsel on a contracting basis.
Commencing as soon as possible, the engagement is expected to run for up to 6 months.
In this role, you will advise on complex commercial contracts, construction and infrastructure projects, and procurement matters while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Advising senior stakeholders in relation to complex legal and commercial matters.
- Providing strategic legal advice across a diverse range of contracts and procurement transactions.
- Liaising with key senior stakeholders across the business, including General Managers in multiple jurisdictions.
- Assisting with change management within the legal function.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
Who we are looking for:
We would like to hear from experienced lawyers with 12–20 years' PAE with backgrounds in construction, projects or infrastructure - ideally within the mining, energy, or resources sectors. The successful lawyer will have significant experience advising on commercial contracts and procurement matters.
