Role Overview

As a Credit Controller, you will play a critical role in managing customer accounts, reducing outstanding debt, and ensuring our credit processes support both business performance and customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and balancing commercial outcomes with excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage and follow up overdue customer accounts to minimise Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and outstanding Accounts Receivable.
- Review and release credit-held orders by investigating customer creditworthiness and making decisions in line with company credit policies.
- Handle customer account enquiries promptly and professionally via phone and email.
- Maintain and reconcile debtor ledgers, including unapplied payments, on-account transactions, and negative balances.
- Record collection activities and customer correspondence accurately within SAP.
- Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to support customer outcomes and business objectives.
- Analyse reports and provide insights as required by the Credit Manager.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support department projects when required.
- Champion workplace safety by adhering to Hilti's health and safety policies and procedures.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in credit control, collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance function.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence handling customer conversations regarding payments and account management.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong internal relationships.
