About the role
- Work closely with clients, other practitioners, and barristers working on files from commencement to resolution
- Work with a wide client base, from clients charged with summary criminal matters to advising sophisticated clients on complex and intertwined criminal/disciplinary/regulatory matters
- Work in a complex regulatory environment, advising on ancillary regulatory, licensing, professional, political and reputation issues which arise for clients
- Opportunity for unlimited advocacy and counsel work
- Work collaboratively with a team of experienced practitioners
- Work collaboratively with well established and sophisticated clients
- Opportunity to practice in all courts and tribunals, including first instance matters and appeals and reviews
- Prospect to work interstate and in Commonwealth jurisdictions
Experience and qualifications
- 2- 7 years Post Qualification Experience
- Strives for excellence and produces work of a high standard
- Has great attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working collaboratively with a team and semi-autonomously under supervision of seniors
- Takes initiative and solves problems creatively
- Manages competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Builds and maintains solid relationships with clients and team
