About the Role

Our Mt Kelly Operations (Lady Annie mine), located approximately 120km north-northwest of Mount Isa, has been an operational copper mine for over 10 years. We are currently seeking skilled and safety-focused Crushing Superintendent to join our team and contribute to the growing success of our processing operations.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Processing Manager you will lead the crushing function with a strong focus on safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legislative and Safety Management System requirements as they apply to the role of a senior member of the management structure.
- Provide support and coaching for direct reports and key personnel, ensuring that training needs are met.
- Consider, develop and implement Crushing Department improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all incidents are investigated and documented in accordance with incident reporting standards.
- Follow up corrective actions from meetings, audits, inspections, incident and accident investigations to ensure completion within the identified time frame.
- Manage Industrial Issues including conflicts to prevent escalation and enable resolution,



in accordance with the Mining Industry Award 2020.

Key Requirements

Essential

- Ability to work in a physical, hands-on crushing environment.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Communicates clearly and works well in a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow site procedures.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Experience working in the mining sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 2-3 years of experience as a Superintendent/Manager level

Highly regarded but not essential:
- Forklift ticket.
- Gantry or overhead crane ticket.
- HDPE Polly Butt welding, electrofusion or excursion welding experience.
- Previous experience in mining, processing, SX/EW or fixed plant operations.
