Deliver exceptional customer service in WA's energy future

As a Customer Services Officer in Esperance, you'll play a vital role in supporting customers, assisting operations, and helping deliver community engagement activities across the region.

This role goes beyond traditional customer service. You'll coordinate community activities, support compliance work, collaborate with depot crews, and take ownership of a mix of administrative and financial tasks. It's a hands-on, varied position perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, problem solving and building strong relationships within the local community.

We're looking for someone who understands regional communities and is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences.

Why Esperance?

Esperance offers an enviable coastal lifestyle combined with the opportunity to make a genuine impact in your community. Known for its breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear waters and welcoming regional spirit, Esperance is a place where work-life balance is more than just a concept. Whether you're exploring the stunning coastline, enjoying local events, or becoming part of a close-knit community, you'll find plenty of reasons to call Esperance home while helping shape the region's energy future.

This role also offers a housing allowance as part of an attractive regional employment package.

What You'll Do:

- Deliver high-quality frontline customer service through face-to-face, phone and email interactions, supporting enquiries related to billing,

metering, outages, solar enquiries, connections and account management.
- Manage service orders, fault notes and compliance activities, working closely with metering teams and depot crews to support safe and efficient operations.
- Support customer communications during planned and unplanned outages, partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate information is shared.
- Play an active role in community engagement activities and events, including set-up, attendance and pack-down, with flexibility to support after-hours activities and occasional regional travel.
- Coordinate administrative and financial activities such as setting up suppliers, raising purchase orders, processing invoices and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

You're customer-focused, community-minded and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving regional environment. You will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a customer service, advisor or corporate support role, ideally within utilities, government or a regulated environment.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, follow established processes and make sound decisions when situations change.
- Confidence working with systems,

documentation and financial tasks such as purchase orders, invoicing and reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills and the maturity to work with vulnerable customers, including those experiencing hardship.
- A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support after-hours events, regional travel and hands-on operational activities.
