We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join a growing customs brokerage team specialising in airfreight, e-commerce and import clearance. This role offers the opportunity to work with established freight forwarding and logistics businesses, supporting both general cargo and high-volume e-commerce imports.
The successful candidate will work closely with both Australian and overseas clients, therefore Mandarin language skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and lodge Import Declarations through EDI software
- Tariff classification and concession assessment
- Review commercial documents and shipping paperwork
- Liaise with freight forwarders, overseas agents and importers
- Process DAFF referrals and permit requirements
- Assist with cargo reporting and airfreight documentation where required
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and overseas offices
- Ensure compliance with Australian Customs and Biosecurity legislation
About You
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in Australian Customs Brokerage
- Good understanding of ICS, Expedient or Tradewindow
- Strong tariff classification skills
- Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and valuation principles
- Experience with airfreight imports (preferred)
- Mandarin and English communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team
