Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators safely and efficiently to complete residential house demolition projects

- Demolish houses and associated structures in accordance with approved demolition methodologies and site plans

- Carry out structural demolition, site clearing, material separation, and loading of demolition waste into trucks

- Conduct pre-start inspections and daily safety checks, including fluid levels, greasing, lubrication, and defect reporting

- Assess demolition sites prior to commencing work, identifying hazards, structural risks, exclusion zones, underground services, and neighbouring properties

- Work closely with demolition labourers, spotters, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure house demolition activities are completed safely and efficiently

- Follow demolition methodologies, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS),



and all WHS requirements

- Maintain awareness of asbestos exclusion zones and other hazardous materials, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures

- Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, cleaned daily, securely stored, and maintained to company standards

- Complete daily records, pre-start documentation, and report defects or incidents promptly

Essential Requirements

- Valid Driver's Licence

- White Card

- Relevant excavator operator tickets/licences

- Minimum 2+ years' experience operating excavators on residential house demolition projects within Australia

- Experience demolishing houses and other low-rise structures

- Strong understanding of demolition techniques and WHS legislation

- Ability to work independently and follow direction from supervisors

- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
