Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join our team at North Adelaide Dental Care on Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health and provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

- Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, debridement, and apply fluoride and sealants.
- Take and develop dental X-rays. A CBCT radiation license will be well-regarded.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care techniques.
- Record medical and dental histories of patients
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining patient records.




- Maintain a clean and organised dental treatment room.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- AHPRA registration
- Working with Children’s Check.
- National Police Clearance.
- Skilled Indemnity Insurance.
- Up-to-date vaccinations and Blood Borne Virus Screening
- Current radiation license, preferably with CBCT
