Sydney North Shore | Full time | $120,000 + Super + Potential ESOP
You know how to turn media budgets into qualified leads.
Not just clicks. Not just impressions. Not a colourful dashboard followed by an awkward silence when someone asks what the campaign actually delivered.
You understand audiences, channels, creative, conversion and commercial outcomes. You know your way around Google and Meta, can interrogate the data, spot what is not working and make sensible decisions about what happens next.
Our client is a successful Australian technology company entering an exciting period of growth. They are now looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to strengthen their digital acquisition capability and help build a more sophisticated, measurable growth engine.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has been properly trained in digital media, perhaps within a respected media or performance agency, and is ready to take broader ownership inside a growing business.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the centre of digital performance, growth marketing and lead generation.
You will plan, launch and optimise paid campaigns across Google, Meta and other relevant channels while working closely with the broader marketing, sales, customer and product teams.
Paid media will be a major part of the role, but it is not the whole job.
You will also help improve landing pages, website conversion pathways, customer journeys, campaign reporting and marketing measurement. At times, you will oversee data dashboards, review Salesforce reporting and help the business better understand where leads are coming from and what happens after they arrive.
The company already has momentum. Your role is to bring structure, intelligence and continuous improvement to its digital marketing activity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your core focus will be building and improving digital campaigns that create qualified demand.
You will
- Develop and execute paid acquisition campaigns across Google, Meta and other digital platforms
- Manage campaign structure, targeting, audiences, budgets and optimisation
- Build campaigns focused on lead generation and measurable commercial growth
- Analyse performance and turn campaign data into practical recommendations
- Test audiences, creative, messaging, landing pages and conversion pathways
- Work with internal creative and content specialists to improve campaign results
- Identify new digital acquisition opportunities
- Support website updates, optimisation and conversion improvements
- Oversee campaign dashboards and recurring performance reporting
- Work with Salesforce reporting and customer data as required
- Help improve email marketing,
segmentation and automated customer journeys
- Support CRM, marketing automation and lead management processes
- Strengthen tracking, attribution and marketing measurement
- Explore how automation and AI can improve marketing efficiency
- Build repeatable processes that make digital marketing more effective over time
What We’re Looking For You are a commercially minded digital marketer who understands that performance marketing is about far more than operating advertising platforms.
You can see the complete journey from audience and creative through to landing page, lead quality, sales follow-up and eventual revenue.
You will ideally bring:
- Robust hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads
- Experience planning, executing and optimising digital media campaigns
- A solid understanding of performance marketing and lead generation
- Experience with audience planning, channel selection and campaign structure
- Solid analytical skills and confidence interpreting campaign data
- Experience developing reports, dashboards and performance insights
- An understanding of website analytics, landing pages and conversion optimisation
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, ideally including Salesforce
- Some exposure to email marketing, automation and customer journeys
- The ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities without losing attention to detail
- A curious, practical approach to emerging marketing technology and AI
An Agency Background Would Be Highly Regarded This could be a particularly strong move for a Digital Media Planner, Performance Manager, Digital Account Manager or Paid Media Specialist who has developed solid foundations inside a good media or performance agency.
You may now be ready to move client-side, get closer to the commercial outcome and take ownership of the complete digital marketing picture.
You understand how media should be planned rather than simply activated. You can explain why a channel has been selected, how an audience has been constructed and what the campaign is expected to achieve.
Most importantly, you know that optimisation is not just changing a bid, moving a budget or producing another report. It is a process of forming a view, testing it, learning from the evidence and improving the next decision.
What Success Could Look Like
During your first few months, you will build a strong understanding of the company, its customers, products and commercial priorities.
You will review the existing digital activity, identify the biggest opportunities and establish a clear rhythm around campaign reporting, testing and optimisation.
Over time, success will mean:
- More qualified leads generated through digital channels
- Improved paid media efficiency
- Better visibility across campaign and lead performance
- Stronger landing pages and conversion journeys
- More effective use of Salesforce and customer data
- Clearer reporting for marketing and business leaders
- Better integration between marketing, sales and customer teams
- A disciplined culture of testing, learning and continuous improvement
The Setting This is a growing business, so you will need to be comfortable operating somewhere that moves quickly and continues to evolve.
People are expected to take ownership, raise problems early and contribute beyond a narrow .
This will suit someone who is ambitious but pragmatic. Someone who enjoys getting into the detail but can also step back and understand the wider commercial objective.
You will be joining a collaborative marketing environment and working with people across content, creative, sales, customer experience, product and technology.
There is plenty to build, improve and influence.
Why This Role?
Because you will get to do more than manage campaigns.
You will help shape how a growing Australian technology business acquires customers, measures marketing performance and builds its future growth capability.
You will have the opportunity to combine your paid media expertise with broader exposure to website optimisation, CRM, reporting, automation, customer journeys and marketing technology.
There is also the potential to participate in the company’s Employee Share Ownership Plan, giving the successful person the opportunity to share in the longer-term growth of the business.
And unlike some performance roles, your success will not be measured by how many campaigns you launched or how many slides were in the monthly report.
It will be measured by whether the marketing worked.
The Package
$120,000 + Super, with the potential to participate in the company’s Employee Share Ownership Plan.
