Key ResponsibilitiesEducation and Care

- Provide responsive, respectful, and nurturing care to all children.
- Build secure, positive, and respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs based on children's interests, strengths, and developmental needs.
- Promote children's learning through play-based experiences.
- Observe, document, and contribute to children's learning and development.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, self-help skills, independence, and confidence.

Child Safety and Wellbeing
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and children's rights.
- Promote a culture where children feel safe, respected, valued, and empowered.
- Understand and comply with the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
- Immediately report any concerns relating to child safety or wellbeing in accordance with legislative requirements and Centre policies.




- Participate in child safety training and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure all interactions with children uphold their dignity, privacy, and rights.

Health and Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment.
- Follow all Centre policies relating to supervision, incident management, infection control, medication administration, sleep and rest, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular safety checks and contribute to risk assessments.
- Ensure children are actively supervised at all times.

Family Partnerships
- Build respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's learning, wellbeing, and daily experiences.
- Respect family diversity, culture, beliefs, and values.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and colleagues.

Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with all educators to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute to the Centre's goals.

Documentation
- Contribute to children's observations and learning documentation.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records as required by legislation.
- Complete required documentation in a timely and professional manner.

Pay: $38.50 – $40.00 per hour
