We’re Hireup, delivering disability and aged care support as it should be.
Our story. It started with a family and their challenge to find disability support that worked for them. They needed more and knew that people with disabilities could have more independence, choice, and control in their lives. The Hireup purpose was born, and now we strive to enable the pursuit of a good life for everyone.
What are we looking for?
We're seeking vibrant, enthusiastic Allied Health students in the Sans Souci area, who are passionate about supporting people to live independently and make a positive difference every day. This rewarding role involves assisting a male client with his morning and evening routines, encouraging participation in community activities, such as attending day program and supporting the development of independent living skills. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, active, and committed to promoting the client's choice, confidence, and independence.
Supports required with the client:
- Personal care
- Social support (walks, movies)
- Transport (community access & attends day program)
- Independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, assisting in making one's own life choices)
- Mealtime management and preparation—including supporting with dysphagia
- Medication prompting
Must have the following documents:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Full First Aid & CPR
- Unrestricted Australian Driver's license & access to own vehicle
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
Shifts available & supports provided:
- Morning routine: Tuesday & Friday, 6am - 9am. You will support the client with getting up and guide and coach him to get ready for the day. The client will then attend the day program.
- Evening routine: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 6pm - 10pm.
You will support the client with choosing and preparing dinner (observe the client while eating as required due to dysphagia). Enjoy ice cream with the client as dessert and support them with a guided bed routine, medication, and personal care.
- Commitment to all of the above shifts on an ongoing basis will be highly regarded.
