- Health Insurance Discount:Enjoy agenerous discount on retail health insurance Your Role: As a Disability Support Workeryou willprovide individualised support for young people andadults 24 hours day in within a supported home model. No two daysare the same. One day you might be assisting clients with generalhousehold duties,
meal preparation or personal care needs. Thenext, you may be providing support to participants based on theirindividual care plans which could include social activities,transport and mobility or attendance at appointments. All the whileliaising with participants families, therapists or case managersand following a clinically guided support plan that offers choiceand participation within their community helping them achieve theirgoals.
The successful applicant will have:
- Qualifications in Residential Care, a Certificate IV inCommunity Services, Welfare or other related areas. (Youmay be currently undertaking and/or willing to obtain withinthe first 6months of employment).
- Understanding of or experience in implementing therapeuticinterventions and behaviour management strategies.
- A positive attitude to engaging withpeople livingwith disability in a nurturing environment under a therapeuticmodel.
- Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of ateam.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the team bysupporting colleagues through clear and effectivecommunication, sharing of appropriate and relevant informationand working cooperatively with others.
- Willingness to work a adaptable roster, including weekends,evenings and sleepovers.
- A Working with Children check, NDIS Worker check and FirstAid Certificate or willing to obtain
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal Historycheck Applications close 5:00pm, Wednesday, 2 September2026. Suitableapplicants will berequired toundergorelevant pre-employment checks.
