Casual | Before & After School Care | Vacation Care
Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service is seeking dedicated and professional educators to join our team. We provide high‑quality before‑school, after‑school, and vacation care programs that support the wellbeing, development, and safety of all children in our community.
Position Overview
Under the direction of OSHC Director and Assistant Director, the OSHC Educator contributes to the effective delivery of our OSHC service by supporting the coordination and supervision of daily programs. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment while upholding organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and best‑practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, implementation of developmentally appropriate programs that promote learning, wellbeing, and positive social interactions
Build respectful and professional relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the school community
Support daily operational tasks, including activity preparation, food service, and maintaining clean and organised environments
Apply skills, knowledge and experience to ensure work is undertaken in accordance with OSHC policies and procedures to support the service in attaining and maintaining compliance with National Quality Framework and Standards and My Time, Our Place (MTOP) framework
Essential Requirements
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
Current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings.
Approved First Aid qualifications which meet school and OSHC service requirements as per ACECQA website.
A genuine interest in working with children in an education and care setting
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and initiative
Selection Criteria
Commit to upholding and actively contributing to the Catholic ethos of the school.
Has experience and/or is committed to working with students who have needs.
Has an ability (and willingness to learn) to implement positive and supportive behaviour strategies.
Has a friendly, positive, cooperative, and supportive approach to working with others.
Has sound organisational skills and abilities and is proactive in their time management.
The successful applicant will have (or working towards) a Certificate 3 in Education Support or equivalent qualification.
