GTNT Group is proud to Partner with Power and Water Corporation to offer an exciting Traineeship opportunity with the NT's largest Electrical and Water provider. We are currently seeking to employ an Apprentice Electrical Fitter Mechanic hosted by Power Water Corporation in Darwin. through this paid apprenticeship opportunity, you will gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)The role includes duties such as install, repair and maintain high-voltage equipment, find faults, conduct inspections and take preventive measures to ensure the reliability of the power grid.

You’ll develop on-the-job skills and knowledge to select, set up and install, test, fault-find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and industrial environments.

On completion of the apprenticeships, an Electrical Fitter Mechanics holds the same qualification as a household electrician, however, they work on electrical machinery, as well as wiring and installations.

To be successful in this role,



you will have/be:

- Driver's Licence (preferably manual)
- A good level of Maths and English
- Self-motivated with a genuine desire to learn and work in a team workplace
- Demonstrated commitment to safety awareness and performance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to obtain a Police Check.

Qualification Description

This qualification provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. It includes Electrical Regulatory Authority Council (ERAC), or their successor’s, Essential Performance Capabilities for an ‘Unrestricted Electrician’s license’.

Nominal Duration: This qualification has a set nominal duration of 48 months. This is the amount of time you need to be committed to, for successful completion of this qualification
