Smart House Solar Pty Ltd is one of the leading residential and commercial solar and battery providers.

As part of our expansion into New South Wales, we are seeking an experienced and appropriately licensed Electrical Installation Manager / Qualified Supervisor to join our growing team.

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all electrical work undertaken by the company within New South Wales and ensuring full compliance with all applicable legislation, Australian Standards, and industry requirements.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for managing and supervising all electrical installation activities performed by Smart House Solar Pty Ltd throughout New South Wales.

You will play a critical role in ensuring every installation is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with NSW regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise all electrical installation work undertaken by Smart House Solar Pty Ltd in NSW.

Act as the company's Qualified Supervisor for electrical contracting activities.

Ensure all work complies with the Home Building Act 1989, the Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 4777, and all applicable NSW legislation and standards.

Supervise solar PV and battery storage installations.

Review installation designs and technical documentation.

Conduct quality assurance inspections and compliance audits.

Mentor and supervise electricians, apprentices, and installation crews.





Issue and manage Certificates of Compliance where required.

Liaise with DNSPs, inspectors, regulators, and customers.

Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety.

Assist management in developing and maintaining company compliance procedures.

Support Smart House Solar in obtaining and maintaining all necessary NSW licensing and regulatory requirements.

Essential

Requirements

Current NSW Electrical Contractor Licence or eligibility to act as Qualified Supervisor.

Current NSW Electrician Licence.

Minimum five years' post-trade electrical experience.

Extensive experience in residential solar and battery installations.

Thorough understanding of NSW electrical legislation and licensing requirements.

Experience supervising installation teams.

Current SAA Accreditation.

Current White Card.

Current Driver Licence.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Desirable

Battery storage commissioning experience.

Three-phase installation experience.

CEC/SAA Designer accreditation (desirable).

Experience managing installation operations.

Knowledge of DNSP connection requirements across NSW.
