About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne office and support the delivery of industrial, mining, and infrastructure projects across Australia. The successful candidate will assist with electrical design, power system studies, compliance assessments, site audits, technical documentation and project delivery activities while working closely with senior engineers and clients.

This role provides exposure to a broad range of engineering disciplines including power distribution, motor control centres (MCCs), arc flash studies, earthing systems, electrical compliance audits, mining infrastructure and industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review electrical engineering designs and calculations.
- Develop single-line diagrams, schematics and cable schedules.
- Assist with power system, fault level, protection coordination and arc flash studies.
- Undertake site inspections, audits and condition assessments.
- Prepare electrical engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Review designs for compliance with applicable Australian Standards and client specifications.
- Assist with project execution from concept through to commissioning.
- Support preparation of engineering scopes, tender documentation and technical proposals.
- Liaise with clients, equipment suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities where required.
- Maintain project documentation and engineering records.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
- 2–8 years' experience in industrial, mining, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles and power distribution systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.




- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Australian driver's licence.

Desirable Experience

- Power system analysis software (PowerCad, ETAP, SKM).
- Arc flash and protection coordination studies.
- Mining and heavy industrial environments.
- Electrical auditing and compliance assessments.
- AS/NZS 3000, AS 3008, AS 2067 and mining electrical standards.
- AutoCAD electrical drafting experience.
- Exposure to PLCs, SCADA systems and industrial communications.
