We are currently expanding an area of the company and looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Electrical Maintenance Department Tradesman to lead the electrical maintenance works and support the safe, productive and timely delivery of electrical maintenance works across our operations.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys organising, co-ordinating and completing the daily priorities of small works, maintenance and DLP jobs, troubleshooting electrical issues and ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

About the Role

As the Electrical Maintenance Department Tradesman, you will be responsible for:

- Overseeing day-to-day electrical maintenance & small job activities.
- Supervising apprentices scheduled to assist
- Co-ordinating planned, preventative and reactive electrical works, and ensuring all tasks are completed in line with WHS requirements, electrical compliance obligations, Australian Standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Co-ordinate personnel to ensure daily, weekly and scheduled electrical works are completed on time.
- Plan, allocate and monitor preventative, corrective and reactive electrical maintenance tasks.
- Oversee fault finding, breakdown response, repairs and minor electrical works across equipment, facilities and electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with WHS requirements, electrical legislation, Australian Standards, company procedures and relevant compliance obligations.
- Review work areas, switchboards, equipment and facilities to identify electrical maintenance needs, hazards, faults or improvement opportunities.
- Liaise with management, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to coordinate works and minimise disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, job updates, test results, compliance documentation,



reports and permits where required.
- Support the ordering of electrical parts, materials, consumables and equipment required for maintenance activities.
- Provide hands-on technical support, guidance and mentoring to team members where required.
- Promote a positive, accountable and safety-focused team culture.

About You

The successful applicant will be a confident electrical tradesman with strong communication skills, sound technical knowledge and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy maintenance environment. You will be safety-focused, solutions-driven and comfortable leading a team while still being able to provide practical technical support when required.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in an Electrical Maintenance Tradesman, Electrical Leading Hand, Senior Electrician or similar leadership role.
- Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
- Strong practical experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, breakdown support and preventative maintenance.
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements, electrical safety, isolation procedures and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to plan, schedule and prioritise electrical maintenance works effectively.
- Experience supervising tradespeople, apprentices, contractors and external service providers.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and compliance documentation.
- Current driver’s licence.
