The Role
We are seeking suitably experienced people (from Associate Director to Executive Director) to join our Commercial and Disputes team in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to help grow our service offering.
Although the roles we undertake are quite varied you will generally find us working alongside senior client executives, supporting project and functional teams during procurement and delivery to help create commercial strategies for project success. We understand and direct multidisciplinary project activities into integrated cohesive outcomes, which includes assignments where we:
Manage and support commercial, procurement, delivery and project controls functions within an integrated project delivery team;
- Communicate contractual principles and risks to internal stakeholders, including senior leaders;
- Help clients set-up and maintain commercial functions, tools and procedures;
- Review, negotiate and resolve complex claims and disputes – including liaising with internal and external stakeholders on strategy and progress;
- Advise our clients’ project teams on commercial, risk, change and project controls considerations;
- Proactively respond to changes in client stakeholder needs and expectations, while developing collaborative relationships formed on trust; and
- Advising clients on proactively navigating the challenges posed by market trends or changes, including changes to regulatory and statutory frameworks, which may involve appropriate changes to internal governance and risk frameworks.
Who we are after:
- Degree in engineering, quantity surveying, project management, law or related commercial management fields.
- 10+ years of practical industry experience in commercial or related roles (spanning contract management, procurement, risk management, project controls or claims).
- Proven track record across a range of projects, particularly in major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy, governance, contract management.
- Proven ability to provide hands on commercial support across a range of projects.
- Strong skills in communication, stakeholder relationships, including working with government agencies.
- Contractor side experience preferred, but not essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
