About the Role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil construction projects. Working collaboratively with our estimating and delivery teams, you'll contribute to successful tenders from initial review through to submission.

Your responsibilities will include

· Preparing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications

· Developing cost estimates for labour, plant, materials and subcontractors

· Talking with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing.

· Reviewing project documentation to ensure pricing accuracy and completeness

· Preparing tender programs and contributing to construction methodologies

· Assisting with tender submissions and supporting bid documentation

· Supporting construction planning and costing strategies

· Maintaining estimating databases, benchmarking information and tender records

· Participating in tender reviews, handovers and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You'll be a detail-oriented estimator who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a collaborative team.

Ideally, you'll bring:

· Previous estimating experience within civil construction





· The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

· Strong Excel skills and experience using Expert Estimator Software

· Experience using MS Project and basic programming skills

· Practical knowledge of civil construction methods,

· Subcontractor markets and supplier pricing

· Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

Site based experience, a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
