About Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN

Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN (DDWMPHN) is one of Australia’s 31 Primary Health Networks, working to strengthen primary healthcare and improve health outcomes across a diverse region of more than 610,000 people.

Covering 99,000km² across South East and South West Queensland, DDWMPHN works with GPs, allied health providers, hospitals, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, government and community partners to improve access, integration and equity in healthcare.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of the Executive Team, the Executive Director, Primary Care and Integration will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of primary healthcare across the region.

You will lead key portfolios focused on primary care transformation, health system integration and strategic partnerships, driving innovation, reform and collaboration across the health sector.

Location: Springfield or Toowoomba, Queensland

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading primary care transformation and health system integration initiatives.
- Driving strategic reform across workforce, service delivery, quality improvement and emergency preparedness.
- Building influential partnerships across healthcare, government and community sectors.
- Providing executive leadership to support organisational growth, performance and strategic objectives.




- Contributing as a key member of the Executive Team to deliver DDWMPHN’s vision and priorities.

About You You are a respected executive leader with experience across health, community, government or related sectors. You bring the strategic capability, stakeholder influence and leadership skills required to drive meaningful system-wide change.

You will demonstrate

- Senior executive leadership experience in health, community or social services.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian healthcare system, particularly primary care and regional health services.
- A commitment to health equity and improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Experience leading complex transformation, innovation and change initiatives.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, partnership and negotiation skills.
- Robust commercial, operational and governance capability.
- A track record of building high-performing teams and organisational capability.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
