About the Prospect

We are looking for a passionate Exercise Physiologist to join the Leap Health Physiofit team at our Launceston location. We are looking for a full time Exercise Physiologist, but happy to negotiate hours for the right candidate. You will be exposed to a varied private practice caseload which may include: chronic disease management, sports injuries, elite athletes, NDIS clients, DVA clients, Support at Home package clients & work cover clients.

New graduates or experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Professional development is encouraged and supported both in-house and externally. We offer a $1000 professional development scholarship for full time employees.

For candidates-based interstate, we also offer a relocation bonus to assist with the expense to relocate to Tasmania. We offer a flexible work roster to support your work-life balance. All notes, programming, reports and meetings are included in work hours.

The Role:

Leap Health Physiofit is seeking a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic team member who can perform the below responsibilities:

· Prevent, treat and manage health conditions (including diseases, disorders, traumas and injuries) including complex and chronic conditions.

· Improve and maintain health status and function.

· Work with both individuals and groups in a professional manner.

· Screen, assess and measure capacity & function for activities of daily living and work-related activities and to inform interventions.

· Prescribe, deliver, adapt and evaluate movement, physical activity, and exercise-based interventions to:

- Facilitate recovery and maximise independence
- Empower people to improve health outcomes and self-manage health conditions
- Coach and motivate to increase engagement and self-efficacy in treatment and physical activity, all whilst taking into consideration the client’s preferences, needs, barriers and goals.

Required Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or higher

· ESSA registration or working towards

· CPR certificate
