About the role

J & S Drilling is looking for experienced drillers to work with us on a casual basis to start. These jobs are based out of our Wattleup yard, in Western Australia. We are offering the chance to work on a number of exciting mining projects in WA, NT, and QLD. As an experienced driller, you will be an important part of the drilling operations, working closely with the driller to ensure that drilling at our sites is secure and efficient.

What you'll be doing

- Loading and unloading of equipment before and after contracts

- Responsible for the day-to-day field & drill rig operations

- Field client liaison - always Representing the company in positive and professional manner

- Ensuring drilling activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures

- Monitoring drilling performance and equipment condition, and reporting any issues or concerns

- Completion of ESH MS documentation, such as J&S; Drilling Rig, Vehicle, SWP, Plant & Equipment induction checklist, reporting schedules, drill reports, pre-starts, etc

What we're looking for

- Must have a current HR licence or higher.

- White card

- Minimum 2 years' drilling experience required in any drilling environment (except blast hole), including exploration, water well, geotechnical, or environmental drilling





- Solid understanding of drilling equipment and processes

- Ability to work safely and follow all relevant procedures and regulations

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role

- Must be based in WA, with preference for candidates local to south of the river (highly regarded)

- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test if required
