Townsville Northern Plastic Supplies are currently recruiting for an Experienced Plastic Welder and Fabricator or a person who has welding experience skills in the Townsville area. This is an exciting role and involves manufacture of a variety of products including Acrylic/Polycarbonate/PVC/HDPE & more.

About the Role:

- Fabrication and welding together of custom built small to large HPDE plastic tanks
- Fabrication of Acrylic and Polycarbonate cabinets, boat window screens, display cabinets and other products
- Operation of CNC machine
- Ensure all work is carried out as per plan to meet required delivery date.
- Development of improvements for team, processes, and design.
- Liaise with the Manager and participate in a team approach across the business to focus on delivering optimum labour efficiency.
- On an ongoing basis maintain the Safety, 5S Quality Management and Improvement method of maintaining and organising the fabrication workplace.
- Ensure no products pass through manufacturing process without 100% quality checking and standards compliance as required.

About you:





- Experience in safely working in a workshop environment using a variety of tools including, Plastic Welders, Planers, sanders, band saw, hand tools, etc. Training in any specific machinery specific to plastics will be provided.
- Plastic Welding, Metal Welding, or similar skills.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings
- Current Drivers Licence (essential) & forklift ticket (desirable).
- Being able to work in a small team as well as independently.
- Enjoys relationship building and consistently delivers high quality of service.
- Able to think on your feet and make appropriate and calculated decisions.
- Eagerness to improve current methods and develop improvements enhancing efficiency.

Salary:

$38/hr - $45/hr Commensurate/equivalent with experience, Start date immediate.
