Are you a patient and dedicated Support Worker with a passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care? We are seeking several experienced support workers who can bring positive energy, patience, and a good sense of humour into the lives of 2 individuals. We are looking to expand our team of support workers who can handle the highs and lows, are calm and committed, can be a mentor and will bring the right energy.
Both young people take an active role in their own lives and supports structure. They require someone to assist them to be independent drivers in their day-to-day activities.
About the Role
You will be supporting two young adults with complex communication needs and high physical support needs. The shifts will be 1:1, in their family homes, and out accessing their local area. They use a range of AAC devices to communicate, and have physical support needs that include gastrostomy feeding, manual handling, medication administration and personal care.
There are also opportunities to support these individuals 1:1, as they attend group based recreational programs. The right person will value these young people's right for autonomy, and choice and control, as much as the need for quality physical support.
Shift Availability
We have a range of casual shifts available over a 24-hour period, including sleepovers.

Mandatory Requirements
- Capable of working independently without direct supervision.
- Industry standards require Certificate III minimum in disability related fields or similar.
We ask that you provided proof of completed training or equivalent experience working with people in areas such as disability, youth work, education support, nursing, leadership, community services, sport.
Applicants for this role must have completed the following mandatory screening and training before they can begin working. Screening requirements: NDIS Worker Screening number Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee only)
Required Training requirements: NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
Assistance with Medication Training First Aid (HLTAID012 –Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting Manual Handling in a Health Care Setting Attend a 3-hour paid New Employee Induction session with Interchange Outer East.
