Role Overview Mechanical Fitter at Ulan Underground Mine. Report to Shift Supervisor. Drive performance through maintenance of underground mining equipment.
Responsibilities - Safely and effectively operate and maintain underground mining equipment and other heavy machinery to meet required standards and quality.
- Effectively manage risks associated with maintenance activities.
- Carry out planned maintenance and scheduling.
- Attend to breakdowns and apply suitable fault‑finding strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to achieve safety and performance outcomes.
Qualifications - Mechanical Trade Qualification.
- Robust safety focus with sound understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous experience working underground (preferably coal).
