Farmhand – Full Time or Part Time

Tropical Fruit World is one of Australia’s most unique working farms and tourism destinations, producing hundreds of exotic fruit varieties across a scenic rural property. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Farmhand to join our farm operations team. This role suits someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, operating machinery, and contributing to the day‑to‑day running of a productive farm environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Farm Supervisor and Farm Coordinator, you’ll support general farm operations across orchards, grounds, and farm infrastructure. Your work will help keep our orchards healthy, our farm running smoothly, and our property looking its best.

Key responsibilities include:

- General orchard and farm maintenance
- Mowing, brush cutting, slashing, and vegetation control
- Assisting with irrigation checks and basic repairs
- Tractor and machinery operation (training provided for the right applicant)
- Harvesting, picking, and supporting seasonal farm tasks
- Weed control (mechanical and/or chemical depending on accreditation)
- Assisting with workshop organisation and equipment care
- Supporting other departments as needed to ensure daily farm operations run smoothly

About You

You're someone who enjoys physical work, likes being outdoors, and takes pride in a job well done.

You’ll bring:

- Experience in farming, horticulture, grounds maintenance,



or similar outdoor work
- Confidence using farm tools, equipment, and machinery
- A practical, safety‑focused attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Current Australian work authorisation

Nice to have (but not essential):

- Tractor or machinery operating experience
- Chemical application accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in orchard or agricultural environments
