Primary Duties:

- Managing the day-to-day farming operations (planting, spraying, harvesting)

- Co-ordinating and carrying out all planting and harvesting activities

- Manage irrigation and paddock preparation

- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities

- Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and dispatch of produce (ready for markets)

- Supervise and mentor farm staff

- Potential opportunity to work with the stock

- Ability to understand and operate various types of agri-machinery

- Coordinate the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements

- Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and industry standards

- Deliver product to markets

To be successful in the role, you will have:

- Minimum 3 years’ farm management or supervisory experience in agriculture / horticulture.

- Forklift license

- Minimum MR License (HR preferred)

- Chemcert Certificate

- Tractor Experience

- Agriculture and Horticulture experience

- Livestock handling experience is advantageous

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
