Due to our continued growth, we have an opening for 2x Field Service Technicians (Locomotive Maintainer) to join our team in Warwick, Queensland.

About the Role

As a Locomotive Maintainer, you'll play a key role in keeping our locomotive fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service. This is a hands-on role where you'll perform scheduled maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, and unscheduled repairs on a variety of locomotive classes.

You'll work across mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting faults, conducting inspections, replacing components and carrying out maintenance activities.

Travel within Queensland may be required for field service work, breakdown response, and training opportunities, so flexibility is important.

The roles are a permanent full-time Field Service Technician (Locomotive Maintainer) role under our Enterprise Agreement, classified at Levels 2 & 3 respectively.

Classification and Pay

Level 2: $92,567.04 per annum ($44.50 per hour) plus superannuation and applicable allowances.

Level 3: $107,821.53 per annum ($51.84 per hour) plus superannuation and applicable allowances.

What You'll Need

Essential

- Trade qualification in Mechanical, Diesel Fitting,



Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Electrical or equivalent.

- Previous locomotive or rollingstock maintenance experience.

- Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled locomotive maintenance.

- Ability to diagnose and rectify faults with minimal supervision.

- Ability to read maintenance documentation and schematics.

- Current C Class Driver's Licence.

- Commitment to secure work practices and rail safety requirements.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to travel when required.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment rail medical assessment.

Desirable

- Experience with EMD and/or GE locomotives.

- Experience undertaking locomotive examinations.

- Welding qualifications.

- Forklift, HR, dogging, rigging or crane licences.
