At Daniel's Donuts, we've built a cult following for our iconic Nutella, Fresh Jam & Cream and all the deliciousness in between. But we're about so much more than donuts.

Today we're one of Australia's fastest-growing bakery manufacturers, supplying our own stores plus supermarkets, convenience, airlines, foodservice and wholesale customers across the country.

Backed by Private Equity and powered by the passion of our founders, we're investing heavily in new technology, smarter systems (hello Odoo!), national expansion and building an even stronger business.

We're looking for someone who loves numbers just as much as they love solving problems. Someone who can turn data into decisions, challenge the status quo and partner with our operations teams to help us make better donuts, faster and more efficiently.

The Role

This isn't your typical Finance Business Partner role.

You'll be the commercial heartbeat of our manufacturing and supply chain operations, partnering with leaders across multiple sites to understand where every dollar goes, how every donut is made and where we can become even better.

You'll own everything from Cost Per Donut (yes, that's a real KPI here), manufacturing analysis, standard costing and inventory through to capital investment decisions and operational forecasting.

You'll report to our Senior Finance Business Partner (who is a gun!) while working closely with Operations, Procurement, Planning and Supply Chain to drive smarter commercial decisions across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Be the Finance Partner our Operations Team can't live without

- Partner with manufacturing and supply chain leaders to provide commercial insight, challenge and support




- Translate complex financial information into practical operational decisions
- Coordinate manufacturing finance across our sites while working closely with our GD Pies finance team

? Own the Numbers Behind Every Donut

- Own our famous Cost Per Donut (CPD) reporting across all production sites
- Deliver daily and weekly manufacturing performance reporting that leaders actually want to read
- Identify cost trends, opportunities and risks before they become problems

? Make Inventory Make Sense

- Own standard costing, BOM costing and cost roll-ups
- Ensure inventory values are accurate across raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
- Investigate stock variances, waste and giveaway costs and help reduce them

⚙️ Help Invest in the Future

- Build business cases for new equipment, automation and manufacturing improvements
- Evaluate payback periods, NPV and investment returns
- Track approved projects and make sure every investment delivers what it promised

? Drive Better Planning

- Lead operations budgeting and forecastin.
- Partner with Planning and Supply Chain to ensure forecasts reflect what's really happening on the factory floor
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) with commercial insight

? Help Make Odoo Amazing

- Become Finance's operational expert for Odoo
- Ensure BOMs, standard costs and cost centres are accurate
- Reduce manual reporting and improve data quality across the business

? Turn Data into Better Decisions

- Support decisions around capacity,



line efficiency, make-vs-buy opportunities and operational performance
- Build meaningful dashboards and reports that help leaders act quickly

? Find Smarter Ways to Save

- Help deliver our $1M+ operational cost improvement program
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and build the business cases to make them happen
- Track initiatives and celebrate the wins

Who You Are You'll probably love this role if you:

- Enjoy partnering with people just as much as working with numbers
- Love manufacturing, operations or FMCG environments
- Naturally ask "why?" when something doesn't look right
- Can explain financial concepts without speaking accountant
- Like improving systems and making reporting easier
- Get excited by finding efficiencies and commercial opportunities
- Aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and spend time on the factory floor

You'll also bring
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it)
- Experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accounting role
- Manufacturing, FMCG, retail or supply chain experience
- Robust Excel and financial modelling skills (bonus points if you've worked with Odoo or another ERP)
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory and standard costing
- A continuous improvement mindset
