Description The Finance Director will serve as the senior finance leader for Cubico’s Australian business, providing strategic financial leadership across the full project lifecycle including development, construction, operations, optimisation and M&A; activity. Reporting into regional and global leadership, the role will be a key member of the Australian Leadership Team, partnering closely with the Country Head to support strategic, commercial, operational and investment decisions.

The successful candidate will lead all core finance functions, including financial reporting, FP&A;, governance and controls, tax, treasury, valuation, insurance, project finance, and lender management. The role requires strong leadership capability, deep understanding of renewable energy infrastructure and experience building and developing high-performing finance teams within complex and growing organisations.

This individual will play a critical role in supporting Cubico’s continued growth by ensuring robust financial management, effective stakeholder engagement, strong governance, and value creation across the portfolio.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics,



Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Qualified finance qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).
- Significant senior finance leadership experience, including building, developing, and managing successful finance teams.
- Strong experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or wider energy sector.
- Deep understanding of project finance structures, lender management, and infrastructure financing.
- Proven experience supporting businesses through the full project lifecycle, including development, construction, and operations.
- Experience overseeing financial reporting, governance, controls, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
- Experience supporting M&A;, acquisitions, refinancing, and investment activity.
- Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, and international environments.
- Experience within relevant jurisdiction highly desirable.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
