This opportunity has arisen due to an upcoming retirement, creating a rare chance for an experienced finance leader to step into a highly visible and influential role within a stable and successful organisation.

Known for its strong tenure and loyal workforce, the business offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced leaders and operational stakeholders across multiple manufacturing sites throughout Australia. The successful candidate will inherit a well-established finance function and team, with several members having been with the organisation for many years.

Your new role

Reporting into senior leadership and working closely with the GM, you will lead the finance function for a key manufacturing division. You will manage a small, experienced finance team and act as a trusted commercial partner across manufacturing, operations, sales and logistics. The role offers significant exposure to both strategic and operational decision-making within a complex manufacturing setting. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading month-end, financial reporting and statutory compliance activities.
- Preparing budgets, forecasts and detailed management reporting packs.
- Driving costing, inventory accounting and production accounting processes.
- Providing commercial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
- Managing the sales order, purchase order and invoicing processes.
- Reviewing capital expenditure requests and supporting investment decisions.
- Leading,



mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
- Partnering with operational leaders across manufacturing, logistics and sales.
- Maintaining strong internal controls, governance and SOX compliance.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and efficiency gains.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be CA/CPA qualified with proven experience in a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, engineering or similarly operational environment. You will also demonstrate:

- Strong management accounting and business partnering capability.
- Expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting and production reporting.
- Experience leading teams and developing staff.
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
- Strong ERP systems experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to influence decision-makers.
- The confidence to challenge, support and collaborate with operational stakeholders at all levels.
