About the Role

As the Financial Accountant, you'll be a key part of a skilled and motivated finance team, ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our accounting function. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical skills with hands-on leadership in a vibrant hotel setting.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

What You'll Be Doing:

- assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
- preparing financial statements for presentation to management, Owners, and governing and statutory bodies
- conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the sale of businesses, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
- examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
- providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
- preparing taxation returns for the business.
- introducing and maintaining internal accounting systems,



and advising on appropriate upgrades to the accounting systems
- maintaining internal control systems
- preparing cash flows and financial risk of capital investment projects

What We're Looking For:

- Australian qualified degree or master’s in professional accounting
- 3 years+ Australian experience in a similar role is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Sound knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in hospitality will be an advantage
