An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Reporting and Control Senior Analystto join a high-performing finance team supporting a complex and fast-paced wealth management business.
This opportunity is perfect for someone making their first move out of a chartered accounting or consulting firm, or with a few years experience on a finance graduate scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss analytical reviews, providing meaningful insights into financial performance.
- Coordinate the external audit process, managing audit requests, deliverables and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting, governance and internal control requirements.
- Identify risks, recommend process improvements and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of financial controls.
- Build strong working relationships across Finance and the wider business to support effective decision-making and reporting outcomes.
Experience required
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Experience in financial control, statutory reporting or financial reporting.
- Previous experience within financial services, banking, wealth management, or superannuation will be highly regarded.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience working within a large or complex organisation is advantageous.
