Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Vectura Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fleet Controller to join a high-performing logistics team. This hands-on role is central to daily fleet coordination, driver communication, and client interaction within a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day fleet movements using GPS tracking tools and dispatch systems
- Respond to incoming enquiries from drivers and clients, providing timely support and updates
- Process high volumes of transport bookings via phone and email, ensuring scheduling accuracy
- Monitor service performance, addressing any delays, issues, or additional charges
- Oversee documentation including PODs, pallet movements, detention logs, and job notes
- Support driver use of mobile apps, ensuring accurate time and job data is captured
- Escalate operational or staffing issues to the Operations Manager when necessary
- Collaborate with administration and operations teams to maintain workflow and efficiency
- Participate in driver support, training, and service recovery activities as needed
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service throughout the transport process
- Assist with driver onboarding ensuring all compliance requirements are met




- After hours calls and operations on a rostered and as directed basis

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2 years' experience in fleet coordination, managed freight, or logistics operations
- Strong customer service focus with proven problem-solving ability under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Confident communication skills with sound literacy and numeracy
- Familiarity with logistics systems and real-time tracking platforms
- Knowledge of compliance requirements including fatigue, mass, load restraint and dangerous goods regulations
- Able to work collaboratively across teams and independently resolve issues
- Comfortable using mobile driver technology and operational documentation tools
- Able to multi-task and perform in fast paced environments
