The Role

Are you an organised and customer-focused professional with experience in fleet, maintenance, or workshop operations? We're seeking a Fleet Operations Officer to support the day-to-day coordination of Council's fleet, plant, and equipment. In this dynamic role, you'll act as a key point of contact for servicing, repairs, breakdowns, and equipment bookings while providing administrative support to the Workshop and Fleet Operations team. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, you'll help ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready to support essential community services.

Key responsibilities include

- Coordinate workshop operations, including work orders, requisitions, procurement, inventory management, and supplier liaison.
- Oversee fleet maintenance support activities, including vehicle inspections, quality control, order tracking, and vehicle handovers.
- Support daily workshop operations by overseeing HD mechanics, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with employee and contractor onboarding.
- Monitor workshop resources, consumables, and fleet-related purchases to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Assist the Coordinator Fleet & Workshop in prioritising workloads, managing operational requirements, and supporting team performance.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- White Card
- Rights to work in Australia
