About the Clinic

Dermatology Clinics Australia is a dermatologist-led dermatology service providing medical and cosmetic skin treatments for concerns such as acne, rosacea, pigmentation, ageing and sun damage. Our approach is evidence-based and results-focused, combining in-clinic treatments with prescribed home-care programs.

Our front-of-house team plays an essential role in patient outcomes. Patients often leave a consultation with a treatment plan — your role is to help them understand it, and follow it confidently through clear education and appropriate home care routines.

About the Role

This is a patient-facing role combining reception and retail support in a clinical setting.

You will act as the link between the clinician and the patient after their appointment. In addition to reinforcing clinician recommendations, you will develop and guide patients through an appropriate home-care routine within clinic protocols, selecting products that support their treatment plan where items have not already been prescribed.

This is not transactional retail. Your role is to help patients understand what to use, why it matters, and how it supports their treatment outcomes.

Success in this position is measured by patient confidence, home-care and treatment plan compliance, and patient retention.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and check in patients professionally
- Support dermatologists and dermal clinicians with patient flow




- Reinforce and clarify clinician treatment recommendations
- Prepare patient quotes
- Develop suitable home-care routines aligned to treatment plans
- Recommend and supply appropriate skincare products within clinic guidelines
- Demonstrate correct product usage and after-care instructions
- Encourage follow-up appointments and continuity of care
- Process payments and manage bookings
- Handle patient enquiries calmly and professionally
- Maintain retail displays and stock presentation
- Confirm patient appointments and prepayments
- Other front of house duties to ensure smooth running of the clinic

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking strong communicators with retail or service experience who enjoy helping people make informed decisions.

Essential

- 1–3 years customer service or retail experience
- Confidence in one-on-one conversations
- Ability to explain information simply and clearly
- Professional presentation and reliability
- Strong organisational skills

Highly Regarded

- Premium retail, pharmacy, medical reception, or clinic experience
- Experience recommending products or services
- Experience building repeat customers
- Interest in skincare or health care environments
