Provide timely nursing interventions to ensure that the optimum level of health status is achieved by all residents. Make appropriate referral of particular aspects of needs to senior staff or seeks assistance with more complex assessments.
Contribute to the development of individual care plans in consultation with residents, relatives and other support staff. Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their health care requirements and residency. Maintain appropriate clinical records in accordance with legislative requirements and the policies of the Facility.
Ensure that all practices and utilization of goods and equipment is consistent with safety requirements. Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Nurses and regulations as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
About the Candidate Current AHPRA Nursing registration Ability to lead a team on shift Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally Excellent verbal and written communication skills Current NDIS Clearance Evidence of right to work in Australia Demonstrated genuine desire to provision of care to frail and aged people Experience working in Geriatric Care and/or Residential Aged Care is desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of AN-ACC will be highly regarded. Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral English.
